Norddeich lies on the East Frisian coast; the jetty is called Norddeich-Mole. Platform and harbour are only a few steps apart.

The station is immediately beside the ferry terminal. There are through trains or connections from many German cities, for example via Emden.

In the main travel season the area around the harbour is busy. As a foot passenger be there 30 minutes before departure, with a vehicle rather 45 to 60.

Signs on the approach road lead to the berths. For Norderney, Reederei Norden-Frisia normally uses jetty 2, the Juist ferries jetty 1.
Which island from here
Norddeich-Mole is the only ferry port in East Frisia with two islands leaving from it. For planning that means the harbour is the same and everything else differs. Norderney runs to a fixed timetable, Juist to the tides; your car can come to one but not the other.
Norderney: fixed timetable, car possible
The crossing to Norderney is the only tide-independent one in the whole group. The ferries run all year to a fixed schedule, around ten times a day and often hourly in summer. The passage takes about an hour. The line is operated by Reederei Norden-Frisia; in season the Inselexpress is added, an electric catamaran that covers the route in around 30 minutes, though without vehicles or bicycles.

Juist: tide-dependent and car-free
Juist is about 90 minutes from the same harbour. Because the island harbour can only be entered at sufficient water levels, the timetable follows the tides and shifts from one day to the next - there are no fixed times. As a rule a ship sails once or twice a day, joined in season by fast ferries taking around 45 minutes.

Two jetties, one harbour
The two lines use different berths. For Norderney, Norden-Frisia normally departs from jetty 2 on the eastern side of the harbour basin, the Juist ferries from jetty 1. Signs on the approach road guide drivers into the correct lane; foot passengers follow the signs to the relevant gate. The terminal has ticket desks, a waiting area, toilets and in places a café.
Parking at the harbour
The large areas P1 and P2 lie directly behind the dyke, P3 a little further out towards Badestraße. The car parks are fenced and in places monitored by camera or night watch. In season a free shuttle bus runs between the parking areas and the terminal every 15 minutes. Short-stay spaces near the jetty cost more than the large day car parks. Yes. Norddeich Mole station is immediately beside the ferry terminal, a few steps between platform and jetty. That makes Norddeich the most convenient feeder port of the group if you are travelling without a car.
Where do I park in Norddeich?+

To Norderney yes, to Juist no - Juist is car-free. For Norderney a reservation is advisable in high season, and a seasonal traffic ban applies in the village centre.
